Dual-layer PEEK tubing is a VICI Metronics-exclusive product. For chemically sensitive applications, the result of innovative research and manufacturing of dual-layer PEEK is a unique option available.
Because there is no physical way with colorant of the outer tubing layer to come into contact with the fluid (liquid, gas, or multiphase flow) that the tubing transports, it is the safest option when working with highly reactive or sensitive samples. The biodegradable, virgin PEEK of the protective inner layer will not leach metal ions into the eluent in chromatographic applications, nor extract metal-sensitive components from the fluid.
This is an ideal choice for applications that require pure PEEK, but need the convenience of instant dimensional identification accomplished by the color of the tubing.

VICI Metronics’ dual-layer PEEK tubing is the perfect choice for applications with highly reactive or sensitive chemical components, especially in laboratories that require different tubing dimensions in the same experimental or application design. The tubing’s inner layer is constructed only of the virgin PEEK directly from the raw material manufacturer and has no added chemicals. This dual-layer construction limits the material that comes into contact with the sample.

VICI Metronics dual-layer PEEK tubing is compatible with all Valco fittings, high and low-pressure Valco fittings, and all tube compression fittings. The standard 1/16” tubing will be compatible with all 1/16” fittings, and as such can often be used as an alternative to steel tubing where applicable.
